| Norton Hall,based in the cotswolds is a late georgian house set amongst a beautiful arboretum with possibly the largest cedar tree in the country will be opening the house and garden for the first time in over 20 years. Cas Pollen and Melanie Wakeley (wakeleypollenparties.com) will be hosting a unique summer shopping event on the 1st July from 10.00am-8.00pm.The event will have around 35 stalls which will include all different varieties of special summer products which have been carefully chosen by cas and melanie,ranging from clothes, jewellery, plants, bags, food and art with exhibitors coming from far and wide. Delicious summery lunches,coffee and cocktails will be served during the day with tables in the garden to allow you to enjoy the gorgeous surroundings that Norton Hall can offer. Knight Frank and Vale Press are kindly sponsering this event which is raising funds for both the shakespeare hospice and SCCWID. The entrance fee will be £5 with free entrance for children. Norton hall is about half a mile from Mickleton on the cheltenham,broadway road B4632.
If you are coming from Mickleton continue for 1/2 mile on the b4632 and on the right there will be a turn off signed Honeybourne.
Follow that road for 1/2 mile up to the top of the hill,you will see the entrance to Norton Hall on the right. View Larger Map |

 Cas Pollen trained for three years at the City and Guilds College of Art in london, graduating in decorative arts and design. She set up her own business perfecting the art of Verre Eglomisee (gilding on glass). Her commissions included interiors for Jigsaw, The Tamarind Mayfair London and Christoph's Brasserie, Park Walk, London.Cas has since moved her workshop and is married with 3 children in Gloucestershire. Her 15 years experience in the world of decorative arts and interiors brings a wealth of creative ideas to make a party look unique and special. |
 Mel Wakeley studied photography for three years and graduated with a degree in photography and film from the bournemouth college of art and design.After a years assisting she set up her own photography studio in Chelsea, London, photographing models and actors. She went on to have a successful career as a wedding photographer both in London and the country. She also worked for Caroline Dickenson Flowers, Berkley Square, London, creating still life photographs for her ever changing portfolio. When moving to the country Mel became involved with the Children's charity Well Child organising events including spring and christmas fairs and Charity Balls. She has organised other charity events including comedy nights such as Medium Rare and the Full Monty. |
| In 2006 mel and cas joined together to create a birthday party for a friend. What they realised was that a party
above all needs to be unique and memorable for the host and all their friends. After a magical night they decided
to form WakeleyPollen using their skills with imagination and gusto. Parties take enormous amounts of time and can be very stressful. Their aim is to guide their client through a fantastical journey cullminating in being able to sit back and watch the night unfold and see all their ideas come to fruition on their special day. Their motto is to make each party a real treat turning dreams and ideas into reality...... |
